Gianni Masini's Archive

Gianni Masini, who left us in the Autumn of 2025, was an accomplished mandolinist and played with the A. Vivaldi Ensemble for many years. Alongside his musical pursuits, he continuously and passionately curated a collection of original scores and parts, which the Ensemble drew upon to prepare its repertoire. The vast material Gianni collected over the years has been organized into a structured archive that the Ensemble has chosen to dedicate to him.
The Gianni Masini Archive is now maintained in digital form on the open-source platform Calibre and is available to the musicians of the A. Vivaldi plectrum orchestra.
Access to the Archive may be granted to scholars and enthusiasts of the plectrum orchestra tradition upon explicit request, subject to the final and unappealable evaluation of the Board of Directors.

    • The Repertoire

    The repertoire that the Ensemble Vivaldi offers will include original songs written for plucked instruments and transcriptions of popular songs of the operistic and symphonic repertoire.The Repertoire, understood as the set of songs played in public in the twenty years life of the Ensemble, is very extensive and can always be taken for its implementation.
